College Catalyst is dedicated in helping students succeed in finding and entering the university or college that will be the right fit for them and helping them realize their potential and goals.

Kathy Rose – Principal

Kathy earned her B.S. in Math/Spanish Education from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas. She has enhanced her education by receiving her College Admission Counseling certification from UCLA. She has also attended the Texas Association of College Admissions Counseling Institute, College Board’s Summer Institute on College Admission as well as the Harvard Summer Institute on College Admissions. She is a Certified Education Planner.

As the principal of College Catalyst, Kathy has worked extensively with parents and students in the college admissions process since 2004.  Students have been accepted to the school of their choice including highly selective public and private universities.  She also speaks many parent and community groups in the Greater Houston area.

Kathy worked for the University of Houston as a major gifts officer.  She also was the first College Forward Houston Executive Director establishing the nonprofit in the Houston area work.  Kathy is the founding director of CollegeCommunityCareer which works with low income, first generation students to gain college access and success.

Being an active board member of many Houston and Fort Bend Charities along with being an active volunteer at the schools her children attend, Kathy has passion for giving back to her community. While living abroad and serving on several international school boards, Kathy is knowledgeable about the college admissions process worldwide.
